House Lift

M² recently broke air on a new project in Norwalk, CT. I say “broke air” because instead of building a new house, we’re taking an existing one and lifting it up! This house, a 3400sf agglomeration of additions to a 1930s beach cottage, lies in a flood zone and suffers from frequent nuisance flooding when powerful storms roll through. In order to mitigate the issue, we’re lifting the house and building a new tall foundation below that will enclose a garage. There’s a much larger renovation planned for the interior- tune back in here as we follow construction over the next few months.
